Sometimes we need new eyes, new perspectives. Solving the challenges ahead may require putting distance from old habits. “The way things have always been done” will not serve us well in a world that bears little resemblance to that world.
In the past, we pushed boundaries, explored this planet, explored new worlds, created amazing things, pushed beyond what many ever thought possible. In doing so, we have created circumstances (read: problems) that also could not have been foreseen and will not be fixed/improved/solved/ without embracing new ideas.
Like it or not, it IS a new world. We must embrace the challenges in new ways to address the new problems we created. To be clear, I am pro-growth. Growth is essential to a meaningful life. However, growth requires adaptation, shoring up foundations or, bulldozing and building new ones.
“The world that we have made as a result of the level of thinking we have done thus far creates problems that we cannot solve at the same level as the level we created them at.”
